We love pulling back the curtain on our builds, and today we\u2019re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at one of our most ambitious projects to date. In this video, you\u2019ll see the scale of the build up close\u2014scaffolding wrapping the two-story fa\u00e7ade as our crew works through the exterior envelope. Layers of rigid insulation board are being applied over the sheathing, creating a continuous thermal barrier that will keep this home comfortable and energy-efficient year-round. It\u2019s the kind of detail that disappears behind the finished wall but makes all the difference in how the home performs.<\/p>

One of the standout design choices is the use of\u00a0Shou Sugi Ban<\/a>\u2014a centuries-old Japanese technique of charring wood to create a beautifully textured, naturally weather-resistant exterior finish. Paired with the home\u2019s clean modern lines, the Shou Sugi Ban adds warmth, character, and a level of craftsmanship you simply can\u2019t get from off-the-shelf cladding. It\u2019s a material that ages gracefully and tells a story, and we\u2019re thrilled to bring it to this build.<\/p>
